New award for excellence announced
Coverland, in collaboration with the South African Institute of Architects (SAIA), recently announced the Coverland Roof Tile Award for Excellence. It is a new sub-category award that forms part of the 2023/2024 Corobrik SAIA Award of Merit and Awards for Excellence in partnership with Coverland.
Industry first
The award aims to reward projects that show exceptional application of concrete roof tiles in aspects such as aesthetics and creativity. This is an industry first and an exciting opportunity for Coverland to raise the image of concrete roof tiles as a durable roofing solution. It is evidence of the company living its purpose of “Building new horizons”.
“As the leading concrete roof tile manufacturer in South Africa, Coverland wanted to raise awareness of the versatility of concrete roof tiles with architects. What better way to do this than with a prestigious award?” says Willem Grove, marketing manager at Coverland.
Submissions
SAIA practices are encouraged to enter their architectural building projects showcasing concrete roof tiles in the Coverland Roof Tile Award for Excellence. Valid submissions are for completed projects, or completed phases of development, done between 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2022
