Celebrating the unsung heroes of a company, who ensure that its warehouse facilities keep performing to a significant degree of excellence.

In order to recognise and reward warehouse staff for their consistent hard work and dedication, Polyflor SA recently held an awards lunch.

“The warehouse staff are our silent heroes who work behind the scenes to ensure that the facility runs like a well-oiled machine,” says Tandy Coleman-Spolander, Marketing Director of Polyflor SA. “It is their job to both unload and then pick and load the stock coming in and out of the warehouse, always ensuring the right stock goes to the right customer. Although our clients seldom see them, Polyflor SA wanted to acknowledge the valuable work they do behind the scenes.  With this in mind, Polyflor SA instituted the Service Awards Ceremony as a way for all the personnel to thank and honour them for the role they play in our organisation.”

Each employee received a certificate for hard work and dedication along with a service award for either five, ten or fifteen years of service. A distinctive award was handed over to Frans Raletsemo for his 20 years of loyal service to Polyflor SA. In addition, Special Performance Awards were handed out to Donald Raletsimo, Johannes Sikhasana, Lesetja Mabotja, Paul Biyela, Frans Reletsemo and Simon Mogale for excelling in going beyond the call of duty and for their positive attitudes regardless of the circumstances.

“Each of these staff members is a valued member of our Polyflor family,” Tandy concludes. “With the end of the year fast approaching, everyone enjoyed the company braai that followed and made the most of the opportunity to get know each other better within a relaxed environment.”
