Over 1 500m2 of Traviata Flooring products were used at the 2013 Johannesburg International Motor Show. The event, which was held during October at the NASREC exhibition site, is the single largest international automotive event in Southern Africa and is held only once every two years.
Interlocking vinyl and laminate flooring is ideal for use on exhibition stands because it is quick and easy to install – and dismantle when the show is over. A number of prominent motor manufacturers used Traviata’s products and solutions for the 2013 event.
Kia used a combination of the Supreme AC4 Denver Oak and White Birch laminate flooring while Honda specified the new Fix-Floor AC3 colours of San Diego Oak and St. Moritz Oak for their exhibition space.
Iveco originally specified a timber veneer floor for their stand. Unfortunately part of the stand was outdoors (under a roof but without walls) and it rained after the floor was installed, which ruined the flooring ahead of the show. Iveco then decided to invest in 300m2 of the 100% waterproof Traviloc solid vinyl flooring. Thanks to the ease of installation (and the speed at which it can be installed), the solid vinyl flooring could be laid the night before the opening, which saved the day for the team at the Iveco stand! While this was an ideal short-term solution for the motor show, Traviloc is not suitable for use in exterior or exposed situations.
