In 19 August 2019, the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) sub-committee of the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) considered all RPL applications received, based on the current policy and guidelines. Since the application process opened in 2017, the SACAP has received 298 applications.
Three outcomes were achieved upon conclusion of the meeting, namely: applicants who met all the requirements will proceed to the next phase of interviews; applicants who did not meet all the requirements will be given an opportunity to resubmit their applications within a specified time period; and all existing applicants that have not progressed through the system will be given the opportunity to register and create their on-line passwords, in order to complete their submissions..
Applicants will be informed about their individual applications, defined deadlines and the way forward shortly. Registered professionals are encouraged to meet the deadlines.
SACAP wishes to ensure al Registered Persons that all application under consideration will not exclude anyone who qualified for RPL consideration.
