Küberit was founded in 1863 and their products are now distributed in South Africa by MacNeil’s new Flooring Division. The company is considered to be market leaders in manufacturing aluminium profiles for textile and elastic floorcoverings as well as profile systems for all hard floorcoverings such as laminate or parquet.
The first production of metal profiles commenced in 1970 and in the following 10 years, profiles made of plastic were also produced and sold. By the end of 1993, the production of plastic profiles ceased and Küberit focussed primarily on aluminium, brass and stainless steel.
Today the wide assortment of standard profiles and special products such as stairnosing profiles for renovations makes Küberit-profiles an ideal choice for professional installers. They have over 16 500 different variants available for every application.
Their product range is distributed through industrial- and floorcoverings specialised trade which include cover strip profiles and edge trims made of stainless steel, brass or aluminium as well as real wood veneer, decor foils or CPL wrappings for high abrasion classes. The inclusion of the newest digital printing technology means they can also produce flooring which matches the latest trending décors. Macneil has 15 custom décor wrap variants to complement their local floor portfolio.
