Tiered WFCA membership structure leads to rise in membership

In January 2017, the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) announced that it has moved to a tiered membership structure. According to WFCA vice president marketing and communication, Freida Staten, this new structure has led to a rise in membership renewals as well as new memberships.

The new structure comprises three tiers namely Sustaining, Leader and Advocate. The new format allows companies to select a level of membership that is conducive to their individual business needs. Members of the Sustaining tier receive comprehensive entry-level benefits, WFCA Trade Scholarship reimbursement, signage on WFCA Dealer Locator, a 20% discount on fcB2B programs and the association’s financial benchmarking report, among other benefits. Besides the aforementioned Sustaining tier benefits, Leadership members also receive unrestricted trade scholarship reimbursements up to $500 and a 25% discount on fcB2B services. The highest tier is the Advocate membership. Members of the Advocate tier receive all the preceding benefits as well as a 30% fcB2B discount, CFI Associate Membership, a 20% discount on all WFCA/CFI training programs, CFI technical services support, access to the CFI installer database, and a company listing on cfiinstallers.org.
