With the massive range of sealants on the market, it is essential that before selecting a sealant for use on expansion joints, one should always test the compatibility of the substrate to determine the specific requirements.
Den Braven Hybriflex-540 is highly regarded throughout the built environment for use on expansion joints and includes the following features:
• Elasticity, high resistance to UV degradation and weathering.
• Offers high tear resistance.
• Perfect for both indoor and outdoor use.
• Excellent movement capability and is environmentally friendly and low in VOCs.
• Perfect adhesion without primer on most surfaces.
Den Braven Hybriflex-540 is typically used with polyethylene backing cord as a bond breaker in concrete joints to create the right joint dimensions for the sealant to be applied, and to avoid three-sided adhesion.
Den Braven Polyflex® 452 was specifically developed as a universal sealant for use with robust elastic sealing connection and dilatation joints as well as joints in pedestrian walkways.
It is also an adhesive for bonding building materials such as: stone, concrete, glass, plasterboard, PU, PVC, hard plastics, enamel, ceramic, copper, lead, zinc, aluminium, metals, alloys, stainless steel, wood and paint systems. Polyflex® 452 is particularly hard wearing and is resistant to water, oil and grease.
