In September 2023, Technical Finishes SA (Pty.) Ltd. (TFSA) and Saint-Gobain Construction Products South Africa (Pty.) Ltd. (SGCP), announced that they have entered into an agreement, whereby SGCP wishes to acquire TFSA. 

 Complementary businesses 

 With more than 30 years of proudly South African flooring experience, Technical Finishes is the leading manufacturer of specialist epoxy and polyurethane flooring systems, manufactured under quality-assured international standards, delivering high-performance products to meet the demanding needs of any industrial and commercial flooring environments.  

 The agreement with Saint-Gobain, the world leader in light and sustainable construction, brings together these two highly complementary businesses that share a vision to deliver high-quality products, exceptional service and sustainable solutions to both the specialist flooring and general construction industries in South Africa. 

 Regulatory approval 

 Pending regulatory approval, the agreement would see Saint-Gobain acquiring 100% of the shares of Technical Finishes in South Africa. In the interim, both companies will continue to drive business as usual.
