Kirk Structural joints are used in commercial buildings, offices, shopping centres, airports, train stations and parking decks. Specifiers and engineers can select from a vast variety of floor expansion joints and covers with their three brands: M.Trim, Arfen and Vexcolt.

Technical strength

  • Options vary from entry-level expansion joints of ±5mm to complex designed products able to absorb ±50mm of movement – whether vertical, horizontal, shear or combined.
  • Can absorb movement experienced in different concrete slab designs – coffer, post-tension, pre-tension, precast and reinforced.
  • Where required, a range of fire barriers is included.
  • Waterproof systems are available.

Aesthetic benefits

Cost-effective options are available that complement the flooring type used – tiles, carpet, vinyl, polished concrete or screed. Structural covers are available in aluminium, rubber and a rubber-and-steel-plate combination.

Issue: Finding a fit-for-purpose structural joint solution.
