SAWLFA

The Southern African Wood, Laminate and Flooring Association (SAWLFA) held its annual general meeting (AGM) in February 2025.

In his report, Chairman Peter Geyer acknowledged the Executive members’ dedication to supporting the association, and the inspectors’ commitment to impartial and detailed reporting.

Accreditation and training

Geyer stated that the primary objective of SAWLFA is to train and accredit installers. The Training and Accreditation Centre at Likewise, initiated by the late Jaco Vermeulen, continues to benefit members.

Accredited installer numbers increased significantly from 16 in 2023 to 45 in 2024. Out of 44 inspections conducted, only one complaint involved a member installer.
