After a COVID hiatus, the 20^th Revestir Expo took place in Sao Paolo, Brazil from 8 to 11 March 2022. As usual, the latest and best products and international trends in floor coverings, tiles, sustainable products, advanced technologies, and innovative designs were showcased.

Earth light panels heat the environment

Eucafloor launched their collection of Earth Lights panels. This union of brightness and colours, aligned with warm-tinted woods can illuminate and heat the environment. This is the premise of the 2022 MDF Panel Collection, entitled Earth Lights and which highlights delicate colour patterns that provide delicate combinations.

Gut protection technology

Among the laminate floors, one of the main highlights was the development of Bacterban Shield technology in the Gran Elegance and New Elegance lines, which offers gut protection against fungi, bacteria, and viruses, including the coronavirus. In the standards, some items have undergone reformulation to be more aligned with consumers’ taste, the novelties being Prime Niagra Oak, Prime Click Alpine Noce, and Indian Oak and Evidence Granada.

In the LVT flooring family, the Basic Line, exclusively for residential use, gains three new ranges: Sacramento, Phoenix, and Miami, inspired by cities in the United States. The decor incorporates more possibilities and choices for lovers of vinyl floors.

Porcelain and patterns galore

Biancogres presented its 2022 Coatings Collection, aligning with the current trends of wellbeing. The brand presents exclusive and breath-taking porcelain tiles and vinyl, reinforcing the foundations of the company which are design, people, and technology.

The collection includes terrazzo Veneziano Avorio 90×90, a very elegant and modern granite, new tiles such as the Treviso 60×60, which features florals and classic designs, and Biancogres’ 120×120 hyper-realistic marbles such as the Macchia Vecchia Lux, white marble with wide and extremely sophisticated shafts, and the Porta Santa Lux, a breccia with a warm tone that is loaded with refinement.

Nature of time

With Eliane’s Nature of Time Collection, they reconnect us with the environment and nature. This collection reminds us to be in the moment, make new memories and prepare today to be able to preserve tomorrow. This collection helps us to do this with the inclusion of a fusion of patterns, colours and textures that is also perfect for warm and contemporary environments.

An expression of Brazilianness

Elizabeth’s new range, in a new 120×120 format, is a highlight this year.

Elizabeth Revestimentos launched the collection paths: Lands, Breezes and
roads, which expresses the present Brazilianness from north to south, reflecting beach breezes, the countryside and city roads.

Memory-filled designs

Incepa brings walls to life with their 2022 release with calming colours and designs – well-being and balance being the inspiration. Shades of brown, ivory and green harmonise and bring stripped-down air to the environment. Pieces with organic designs in neutral shades overlap the geometric relief, forming a modular panel.

Designed with sustainability in mind

There is something about valuing life, giving new meaning to waste, and thus protecting future generations by focussing on the use of recycled materials and sustainability, as Lepri has done.

Portobello, a leader in the ceramic coatings segment, launched their Soma lines, part of the 2022 collection of Portobello Unlimited Dream. Portobello creates great inspiration with their coloured concrete using a manual technique of dyeing fabrics that gives the tone of the Shibori line.

The inspiration for Paulo Mendes in the creation of the products is the architecture, the geometric lines, maxillons, and the integration between nature and concrete in their projects. The line also brings the Soul kit, cementitious pieces with curves in five vibrant colours: yellow (Home), blue (Heaven), white (Mountain), grey (Moon), and red (Cliff), and two models for walls in the 30X120 format.
