Brits Nonwoven have launched their latest addition to the IsoFoil Reflective thermal insulation membrane range.  

The company is proud to announce that the IsoFoil Industrial FR Plus has achieved the best possible fire classification for reflective laminates, as per the new Fire Regulations SANS 53501-1 in achieving an A2-s1,d0. The IsoFoil range is the result of extensive research and development by Brits Nonwoven, a full-accredited Platinum member of the Thermal Insulation Products and Systems Association South Africa (TIPSASA).  

A reflective insulation solution 

The IsoFoil range is a selection of highly reflective thermal insulation membranes, ideally suited for applications in all construction sectors, encompassing residential, commercial and industrial roofs. 

These carefully designed barriers reflect between 95% and 97% of all radiant energy. By managing thermal radiation, IsoFoil significantly increases the comfort level inside buildings. Heat transfer between the interior and exterior of the building is also controlled, retaining heat in winter and reflecting it in summer. 

Benefits 

When correctly installed, IsoFoil can reduce indoor temperatures by 10% in summer, and increase indoor temperatures by 5% in winter. This reduces the need for cooling and heating devices, contributing to the overall energy efficiency of the building. 

Beyond its reflective properties, the IsoFoil membrane also acts as a wind, dust and moisture barrier, enhancing the overall performance of the roof. 

IsoFoil can also be installed as an exposed roof lining in order to reflect natural light throughout the building.
