Armstrong Flooring’s flooring recycling programme has reclaimed more than 100 million pounds of material, the company announced in September. The On&On Recycling Program was launched in 2009 and it allows building owners and contractors to take old resilient commercial flooring to an Armstrong recycling location instead of landfills.

Not only does this initiative save contractors and building owners, who are removing floors as part of a renovation or demolition project, the cost of disposal fees, it also gives the company raw material to use in producing new flooring. The On&On Recycling Program is also the first programme to accept both its own resilient commercial flooring and that made by competitor.
