New transition profiles curb flooring frustrations

Specifiers often face a common challenge – floor transitions.

When using different flooring types varying thicknesses are inevitable. Height differences are common in renovations or when a section of flooring is renewed or repaired, leading to much frustration.

To combat these height differences, the M.Trim range of transition profiles allow for a smooth and functional transition.

Available in aluminium (anodised and foiled), brass and stainless steel, they have a common height difference of up to 5mm. M.Trim has a comprehensive range of both screwfix and screwless covers to match aluminium flooring types, with anodised colours and foiled finishes. The screwless covers are also conveniently available in both dowel and baseclip systems.

For height differences of more than 5mm, the Finish or Ramp type profiles are most suitable and a choice of medium to heavy duty covers are available, depending on the foot traffic expected.

With same level floor types, expansion profiles are popular between wooden and laminate floors where movement of the floor is expected. On same level curved floors, use capping strips that can be bent into the shape of the curve.

Thanks to this new range, flooring transition challenges will soon be a thing of the past.
