Legrand recently opened a new 450 m² showroom at the company’s head office in Johannesburg. The new showroom encompasses a specialist training facility designed for interactive tuition modules that cover Legrand’s extensive range of electrical and digital building infrastructures.
The showroom displays general products, as well as theme rooms to showcase dedicated product solutions, emphasising home automation, hospitality, healthcare and the office environment.
Ron Milburn, who heads up the training division at Legrand Southern Africa, explains that the facility is an exciting development for the company as well as the entire electrical sector. “Legrand’s training programmes are tailored for a diverse customer base, including architects, distributors, electricians and specifiers,” says Milburn.
“Legrand has recognised a growing demand locally for practical training in product selection, energy efficiency, installation rules, repair and maintenance requirements, as well as safety regulations in the commercial, industrial and domestic sectors,” explains Milburn.
Legrand’s training courses encompass topics such as cable management, structured cabling, power (including courses dedicated to protection, transformers, busbars, and XL3 power distribution systems), door entry systems, lighting management as well as healthcare solutions.
“Apart from these training modules, Legrand also offers tailor-made training solutions to a customer’s exact requirements,” concludes Milburn.
