This year has brought about a bold change to the Douglas Jones brand. Viewing this year as one of renewed strength and confidence in South Africa, the Douglas Jones logo has been redesigned with a cleaner, more eye-catching and inspiring look.
In addition, the company is also focussing on sponsoring several cycling races this year, committing to a healthier lifestyle for their staff and clients.
With this new outlook to the future, Douglas Jones will launch their new catalogue in the middle of May 2018, bringing trendy products that mirror the taste of international interior design studios and architectural firms from around the world.
“Established in 1999 with a clear mission of servicing a need in the ceramic tile business for more mosaic, décor and tile accent products, we are focused on finding and importing unique, fashionable and inspiring mosaic and decorative tiles,” states operations director, Kitty Douglas-Jones.
“We further offer a uniquely South African creative assembly department that concentrates on designing and creating bespoke patterns, fades and mixes for every client, allowing the clients’ imagination to be their only limitation,” she adds.
This department is made up of 20 staff members dedicated to making sure their clients’ patterns, mixes and fades are made perfectly and dispatched timeously.
Another focus is the enabling of perfect mosaic installations, which are typically more problematic than tiles due to added movement. To achieve this, Douglas Jones has developed their own mosaic fix, which includes a quick-setting, high-tensile-strength adhesive which has the ability to absorb the additional movement of the sheets.
With its low dust formulation, the mosaic fix is easy to mix, easy to apply and fast setting (six hours), which provides installation in a shorter period of time, saving on both time and money. It is available in white, light grey and dove grey.
