Laminate leaflet Jnl 1 15

A new leaflet available in 7 languages communicates how to find the correct underlay for a laminate floor.

This practical overview leaflet entitled “That’s how laminate finds the appropriate underlay” has been available since May, an initiative sparked by the Association of European Producers of Laminate Flooring (EPLF) based in Bielefeld, Germany.

As producers of laminate flooring the EPLF has made this double-sided sheet available for free download in pdf format, with the option of seven languages, namely Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish.

In this concise leaflet which is clearly designed to offer a clean layout and is easy to understand, the EPLF outlines the most important requirements of the European technical specification CEN/TS 16354 for laminate underlays. As a result, it provides valuable advice not only for the field sales force of any flooring or underlay manufacturer, but also for sales staff in the retail trade. Furthermore, it is designed to increase confidence and safety when selecting an underlay, resulting in fewer complaints and allowing users to enjoy their laminate flooring for longer.

Through this information service on the subject of suitable laminate underlays, the EPLF wishes to create awareness on laminate boards and the underlay, while the subfloor should be viewed as a complete system.

The subfloor plays an important role here in protecting the entire system. This is why the information given in the overview leaflet is intended to make a laminate flooring system safer, better and easier to handle.
