An advanced new self-levelling screed will soon be introduced to flooring contractors around the country.

Responding to the needs of their flooring customers, Weber Saint-Gobain have developed weber.floor WB300, an advanced self-levelling screed that will soon be introduced to flooring contractors around the country.

“In today’s highly competitive construction market, the flooring contractors applying underlays for vinyl, epoxy, tiles or carpet flooring are under increasing pressure to complete the job quickly and professionally,” says Theunis Marais, Product Manager ‒ Flooring and Specialised Products at Weber Saint-Gobain. “weber.floor WB300 is an exciting technical breakthrough that will virtually double productivity in the flooring underlay sector.”

Weber offers a comprehensive range of fit-for-purpose solutions based on advanced formulation technology. The company’s introduction of the innovative weber.floor WB300 product will complement its established flooring range.

The WB300 offering is not only self-levelling but also self-drying independent of weather conditions, and can be over-coated after 12 hours. Within 28 days, WB300 achieves a compressive strength of over 30MPa. It also has a better tensile strength, which ensures a degree of flexibility.

“We aim to make weber.floor WB300 readily available through multiple channels,” comments Theunis. “It can be installed by our accredited applicators but is such a user-friendly product that we will also be targeting the DIY sector. Everyone is looking for faster, easier ways to achieve a quality, durable screed: weber.floor WB300 is the solution.”
