Polyflor SA’s new CEO, Tandy Spolander-Coleman, will drive the vision of the company forward.
Polyflor South Africa is pleased to announce that Tandy Coleman-Spolander has taken over the helm as the company’s Chief Executive Officer, with effect from the 10th of March 2016. Previously the company’s Marketing and Sales Support Manager, Tandy will be the third generation of Colemans to play a part in the company’s long, international history.
Tandy is Denver’s elder daughter and has been involved in Polyflor SA since 1994. She holds a B.Com Accounting Science degree and she started at the company in a Sales and Administrative position, where she was responsible for establishing and maintaining the company’s financial and accounting systems. After taking a short break, she returned to Polyflor in 2009 as part of the Management Team, responsible for the marketing portfolio.
Under the guidance of Denver, who will continue to be Polyflor SA’s Chairman, Tandy and the rest of the company’s Management Team, consisting of Pieter Du Plessis, Sandy McLardy and Charles Davids, will be responsible for the ongoing steady and substantial growth and development of the business. As a result, news of Tandy’s promotion was welcomed by customers and staff members alike.
“Being involved in almost every area of the business over the past 12 years has allowed me to develop a deep love and understanding for the company,” says Tandy. “I feel immensely proud to take forward the same vision that my father and grandfather had when they headed up the company. Despite going through many changes, growth and evolutions over the years, we have never lost our personal touch.”
She goes on to say that Polyflor SA offers its clients an experience that stretches beyond merely buying one of their products. “Polyflor is seen as a trusted flooring advisor, and we take this responsibility very seriously,” she concludes. “Our clients rely on us to make sure their vision becomes a reality as we guide and partner with them every step of the way. I will cherish and grow this legacy that has now been entrusted to me to carry forward to future generations.”
