As the world continues to fluctuate between lockdown levels, commercial industries are trying to balance the reopening of the economy with the health and wellbeing of their visitors.
With hospitality environments being highly versatile spaces where people can spend time with friends or colleagues, flooring can play a key part in patron delight.
The new DESSO® Mode carpet tile collection, promoted by FloorworX, is the latest design-led flooring solution for commercial interiors. Celebrating the industry’s shift towards creating experiential spaces for relaxation, work and play, the product family of five ranges is classic, yet thoroughly contemporary.
Relational wealth is gained when people collaborate. DESSO’s Mode collection supports designers in creating clear, yet flexible zones to help visitors maintain social distancing while still creating an unparalleled guest experience.
The collection is 100% ECONYL®, a regenerated nylon yarn made from recovered waste materials such as discarded fishing nets and carpet yarn from the manufacturing facility’s carpet recycling centre. In cases where acoustics is not a requirement, the tiles can be ordered without the SoundMaster backing, making the tile 100% recyclable.
DESSO Mode is also available with a 100% recyclable DESSO EcoBase® backing, which in 2015 achieved Cradle to Cradle® Gold level certification and reached Platinum level for Material Health.
Ambiance and acoustics
In hospitality environments, ambience is everything and acoustics play their part in this. Different zones require subtle adjustments to the flooring to keep sound levels from becoming overwhelming. For this reason, SoundMaster® Lite backing is offered as standard, improving acoustics for added comfort. This felt backing is made from 100% Polyester (80% recycled) and is specifically chosen for its advanced sound insulation and absorption properties.
At FloorworX, customer needs are at the centre of everything that they do. They also offer practical consultation on Post-Covid hospitality floor plan design.
