Saint-Gobain Gyproc’s new mobile wall and ceiling demonstration unit makes training more accessible.
Saint-Gobain Gyproc has launched a mobile wall and ceiling demonstration trailer to facilitate onsite training and increase technical support to its product portfolio.
The Gyproc technical team has developed the concept of a mobile training facility with the aim of supporting sales and increasing accessibility to its customer base. The customised demonstration station is not only visually impactful, but its flexibility ensures that training can extend far outside Gyproc’s formal training centre.
The unit was recently unveiled at the University of Pretoria, where a class of second year architecture students attended a two-hour demonstration on basic drywalling and ceiling installations.
The mobile unit can be stationed on construction sites, in rural areas, at consultants’ offices, builders’ merchants, trade events and tertiary institutions, for example.
This means that many more contractors will have access to the training being offered, without the downtime usually associated with training a work force, which normally happens offsite. Since the training is brought to the trainees, cancellations are also minimised.
The training further affords the professional team the assurance that installations will be carried out in accordance with Saint-Gobain Gyproc’s exacting standards.
At the Eldoraigne Retirement Village development, onsite training took place when the skills training and accreditation manager invited Saint-Gobain Gyproc’s mobile station to demonstrate the installation of their ceiling systems, which have been specified.
