Mix it up with the latest carpet collections

This year, carpet trends are all about styles and designs. According to Van Dyck Floors, the market has moved away from linear designs with the focus now mainly on organic patterns in shades of grey and natural colours, with trends inspired by nature and from biomimicry and biophilic designs as well as connecting with the earth.

After seeing the increasing popularity of their various tile ranges, the company decided to give their customers some more products to choose from and extended its product offering to include the Mozart Collection, Craft and Graphite. These tiles provide an upmarket and trendy look in a palette of neutral colours.

The Mozart Collection is 100% PFX Stainshield BCF Polypropylene tufted loop pile tile range with Enduroback KR4 (modified recycled bitumen) backing. The range is available in six contemporary designs and in three colourways, making it suitable for various medium commercial environments. This range comes standard in 50 x 50cm size, but 60 x 60cm, 100 x 100cm, 25 x 100cm tiles, and other shapes and sizes can be manufactured on request.

Craft is a tufted loop pile tile (which means that the carpet has yarn needled through the primary backing and then looped around it), and looks like a naturally woven carpet cut into tiles with very earthy and naturally looking fibres. Each colour is made from a combination of various yarn colours which makes this carpet tile easy to match with other interior finishes and very suitable in terms of soil hiding and ease of maintenance.

Graphite, is a plush tufted cut pile tile (manufactured by cutting the yarn loops) which creates a softer velour-looking finish. It has an organic concrete style which gives the floor a more random look and feel.

Lasting durability for reuse at the end of a carpet’s lifespan
Craft and Graphite are able to withstand heavy traffic over several years, and can even be re-used for a secondary market at the end of their lifespan. There are no PVCs and very low VOCs in the bitumen backing, which is partially recycled material. Tthese products meet the requirements for Green Star Rating. These two carpet tile ranges are manufactured in the 50cm x 50cm dimensions and are available in four neutral colours.

Van Dyck Floors pays a great deal of attention to the impact its processes and products have on the environment. For this reason they are proud of having an ISO 14001 certificate, which has strengthened their commitment to environmental practices. They are also ISO 14064 and Carbon Trust certified and have reduced their carbon footprint by more than 40% over the last 4 years.
