Marazzi roma

Marazzi, an international leader in the design and production of ceramic and porcelain tiles, has opened the doors of its new 400m² exhibition space on Via Vittorio Emanuele Orlando, in the heart of Rome.

It is an exclusive experience of elegance and functionality, designed by ACPV ARCHITECTS’ Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel. Just steps away from the Roman Baths of Diocletian and Palazzo Barberini, the most surprising solutions in contemporary ceramics wait to be discovered.

Chief executive officer (CEO), Mauro Vandini, says: “We are very proud of this new opening, which highlights the continuous evolution of ceramics and creates a new space for interaction and relationships with clients and professionals.”

Exploring versatility

Marazzi Privé, the heart of the project, evokes the exclusive atmosphere of a hotel lobby. Three autonomous yet connected settings explore the versatility of Marazzi products, reinterpreting rugs, furniture and porcelain seating in a sequence of spaces characterised by privacy and comfort.

The use of ceramics demonstrates their ability to offer innovative solutions. Advanced technology, adaptability and timeless beauty take shape, alongside objects and sculptures that explore the nuances of new classics.

Thematic approach

Each themed room offers a unique experience, highlighting the excellence of the materials. The large slabs, arranged like rich oriental rugs, are carefully illuminated to enhance their beauty.

This transforms the exhibition space into a “wunderkammer” of colours and materials, evoking artisanal craftsmanship, precious marbles, elaborate inlays and three-dimensional structures.

Patricia Viel, CEO and co-founder of ACPV ARCHITECTS, states: “Designing the new Marazzi showroom in Rome was a stimulating design exercise – we created a succession of environments that could enhance the versatility of ceramic products. It is a space to be fully discovered that will contribute to the strong wave of renewal that is felt in Rome today.”

The creation of the new Marazzi exhibition spaces in Rome is the result of valuable collaboration with leading design partners such as Flexform, Viabizzuno, Ideal Standard, Foster and Riflessi.

“The new Marazzi showroom in Rome is a space designed to support our clients and design professionals, offering an ideal reference point for sharing ideas and creative solutions.” – Mauro Vandini, CEO of Marazzi and president of Global Ceramic of Mohawk Industries
