Comprising 30 luxury two-bedroom apartments and situated in the leafy suburb of Lynnwood, Plumstead is the latest residential estate to feature a range of beautifully designed eco-friendly and sustainable tiles. This desirable estate offers secure modern living close to the N1 highway, the University of Pretoria’s Hatfield Campus and Menlopark Secondary School.
With stunning gourmet kitchens, spacious living areas and several energy-saving features, the interiors ensure an architectural feel that is luxurious, modern and meets the brief of co-aesthetics. Marius Maree, Italtile Commercial’s JV partner in Menlyn, worked on the project in collaboration with Renico Developers and AA Pappageoriou Architects.
Sustainable, yet luxurious
“Sustainable design is at the heart of Italtile Commercial’s mandate,” noted Maree. He says: “With this in mind, we proposed a cement-look finish throughout and selected Proudly South African tiles by Ceramic Industries to complete the green brief.”
The matt finish of the Parktown 500 x 500 wall and floor tiles offers a slip-resistant surface, and the tiles are exclusively made for Italtile Commercial. They are available in three colours that are delicately toned with a design variance that eliminates repetitive patterns. As with all Ceramic Industries’ tiles, the Parktown range is low maintenance, durable and sustainably manufactured for years of service and enjoyment.
Italtile strives to be green at heart, holding suppliers and manufacturers accountable to ensure that their LiveGreen logo is proudly displayed as a seal of approval for beautiful design that’s both eco-friendly and sustainable. LiveGreen designs minimise the impact on the environment, during both manufacturing and use, through incorporating space-age, eco-friendly technology, perfect for modern and environmentally-conscious estate living.
