Johannesburg roadshow a unique opportunity to connect

The Media in Africa team recently took to the road for our annual Johannesburg roadshow, visiting twelve specifier firms and engaging with over 300 specifiers. The roadshow was providing them with a unique opportunity to connect with product manufacturers and learn more about our publications. Specifiers enjoyed coffee and brownies at our mobile coffee shop. They were entertained with live guitar tunes from Andre Liebenberg, as they were exclusively attended to by product manufacturers at pop-up stands.

Marlene van Rooyen, managing director at Media in Africa, says the Johannesburg roadshow enabled specifiers to set up formal meetings with product manufacturers. It opened doors for them to learn more about innovative products available to use in their work.

She says product manufacturers shared brochures, samples and information about their latest products with specifiers so they become more widely used in the industry, ensuring developments are created with the highest quality products.

Specifier firms visited included:
• Boogertman and Partners in Bryanston.
• Co-Arc International Architects in Parkwood.
• GAPP Architects in Melville.
• dhk Architects in Melrose Arch.
• RLB Pentad Quantity Surveyors in Midrand.
• LYT Architecture in Melrose Arch.
• Bentel Associates in Illovo.
• Vharanani Properties in Dunkeld West.
• BTKM Quantity Surveyors in Emmerentia.
• SVA Architects in Sandton.
• GLH Architects in Parktown.
• Paragon Architects in Illovo.

Sponsors of the roadshow shared overwhelmingly positive feedback about the event, saying it helped them to connect with businesses they hadn’t reached in years. It introduced them to organisations they were previously not aware of and helped them re-establish relationships with organisations they were familiar with.

The Johannesburg roadshow was an excellent way to provide specifiers with a great experience, connecting them with high-quality product manufacturers and the Walls and Roofs and Floors publications team.
