Redhill

Bamboo can be used in nearly all (creative) industries: in construction, interior architecture, products, sports, fashion and many more. With climate crisis and resource scarcity, bamboo is a super versatile material that can help us create a more sustainable and circular society using biobased materials.

MOSO® Bamboo is recognised as a global leader in bamboo because of its focus on product quality, innovation and sustainability. With an international team and partners in more than 50 countries, MOSO® is continuously looking for new applications and solutions utilising the fastest growing plant in the world.

To achieve the Reggio Emilia approach, where the environment is a “third teacher”, architect Asher Marcus of Hubo Studio turned to MOSO® Bamboo when designing Redhill’s Early Learning Centre (ELC) where the design philosophy center’s around creating a space where children feel connected to nature and inspired to learn.

Foundation for learning

MOSO® Bamboo’s Elite Flooring consists of three layers of solid bamboo strips. Pressing the middle layer crosswise optimises its stability and durability, and provides a beautiful and practical foundation for learning spaces. Beyond aesthetics, bamboo also offers significant health benefits.

Bamboo’s strength and durability make it ideal for the high-traffic demands of an early learning centre.

MOSO® Bamboo flooring is naturally anti-microbial, antistatic and anti-allergic, creating a cleaner and healthier environment for children to play in and explore. Unlike many traditional flooring options, bamboo has very low emissions of harmful VOCs, thus, contributing to improved indoor air quality. This is crucial for young children, whose developing respiratory systems are more sensitive to environmental toxins.

MOSO’s FlexBamboo Wall Cladding provides both aesthetic and functional benefits to Redhill School. Its inherent flexibility allows for creative design applications, adding visual interest and texture to the walls and fostering a more peaceful and focused learning atmosphere.

Sustainable choice

MOSO® Bamboo products are particularly suited for high-traffic areas. The warm caramel colour of the bamboo adds a welcoming and natural aesthetic to the school’s interior. In addition to its aesthetic durability and appeal, bamboo flooring is the environmentally sustainable choice as bamboo is a rapidly renewable resource, and MOSO® leads the way with earth ethical practices to ensure form and function meet natural beauty!
