Situated in Gordon’s Bay, Western Cape, Greenbay is a high-density, secure-living residential estate. Its communal core features a Green Barn Lifestyle Centre with an indoor gym, green café, multi-purpose sports field and more. From the Green Barn throughout the estate, the focus is on sustainable design, to achieve the highest Green Star rating from the Green Building Council of South Africa.
Over the last seven years, Boogertman + Partners have partnered with Balwin Properties on a range of developments countrywide, developing the Balwin green brand from strength to strength, constantly improving and raising the bar in these developments.
Sustainable design principles
Balwin Green Developments are set apart from other similar developments by their sensitive master and urban planning with sufficient parks and green spaces, breakout spaces and top-end facilities in the lifestyle amenities. A focus on green sustainable design principles and high-end security are part of the developments.
Andre Wright, director of Boogertman + Partners, says: “As architects, we have the responsibility and skills to make a difference in the living standards of many people in South Africa.
