Partnering with Europe and Africa’s most renowned glass manufactures, the team at Q One Fenestration has become the industry leader for the installation of oversized windows and doors.

This team’s dedication to perfection and safety, coupled with their ability to merge aesthetics and architectural knowledge, has resulted in one of the most compelling large-format window and door installation portfolios.

The modern concept of the panoramic window – one of Le Corbusier’s proposed five points for new architecture – seeks to maximise the spans and openings of rooms to light and landscape, where the window is converted into a large “screen”.

Q One Fenestration’s partnership with the panoramah!® glazing system is a culmination of this widely employed modern design concept, ensuring maximum transparency and excellent performance using the latest, most advanced technology.

This unique partnership provides architects access to a state-of-the-art sliding aluminium casement system that explores the structural properties of glass. It enables the execution of large, glazed areas with the use of vertical, minimal (slender) aluminium profiles.

Unlike traditional casement systems, glass is panoramah!®’s self-supporting, main component, while the aluminium frame takes on the secondary functions of guiding its sliding motion, providing additional structural reinforcement and ensuring the window’s sealing capacity.

Q One Fenestration’s latest project – a new penthouse installation in Lagos, Nigeria (shown in main image) – is a showcase of their skills and knowledge. As the residence’s multiple glass panels were as large as 3m x 6m, the use of panoramah!®’s extremely robust, 1m-long bearing profiles, which support loads of up to 1 800kg/ml, resulted in a highly dependable, durable and high-performance product.

A visit to their sophisticated factory is testament to their dedication to the highest quality for both manufacturing and workmanship.

Matthew Bosch, owner of Q One Fenestration, comments: “We welcome clients, specifiers, designers and architects to our factory/showroom, as we believe it is a vital part of the process. Through the use of technology, we can then demonstrate our product range and its proposed applications to our clients in an open and transparent way.”

In partnership with panoramah!®, Q One has been able to cement their solid reputation, while diversifying their product offering to include traditional European, local and, what they like to call, the sexy slimline “Ferrari” like systems.

panoramah!® is a state-of-the-art sliding aluminium casement system that explores the structural properties of glass. It enables the execution of large, glazed areas with the use of vertical, minimal (slender) aluminium profiles, resulting in great elegance.

The mechanical and structural properties of panoramah!®’s windowpanes take away the need for all peripheral elements that compose traditional window systems, by embedding the casement in construction elements such as walls, floors and ceilings, thus enabling an expanded and visually unobstructed perspective. Its 20mm vertical profiles keep a consistent, unifying and almost imperceptible connection between glass panes, simultaneously allowing for perfect weatherproofing whilst fully maximising the glazed surface area.

From the system’s point of view, the panoramah!® sliding windows’ dimensions are only constrained by the industrial production limit capacity in glass processing. Their design, assembly and fine-tuned mechanical hardware allow for the perfect handling of up to 29m² sliding glass panels. This structurally bonded glass/aluminium sliding units are kept balanced and centred over a patented rail system, which is comprised out of a double-bearing removable profile, placed inside the external casement.

panoramah!®’s profiles can support an unlimited number of panes made out of up to 60mm double- or triple-glazed units, which can even be motorised. Matching even the most demanding international technical requirements, the window frame is built by means of a structural link between anodised aluminium and reinforced polyamides, avoiding thermal bridging in all components. Verified and regularly tested in accredited laboratories, panoramah!®’s triple-glazed units allow for truly exceptional thermal (up to 0,8W/m².K) and acoustic (up to 44dB) performance.

In addition to the undoubted added value and performance of the panoramah!® window technology, the system offers the typological flexibility of opening skylights, sash, pivot and tilt-and-turn products, which also guarantees exceptional technical and aesthetic performance. This ensures the formal and architectural coherence of all opening systems in a design project.

With their most notable installation of a massive 18m², which included multiple glass panels ranging in size from 3m x 6m, to 3m x 9m, Q One Fenestration, in partnership with panoramah!®, have raised the benchmark for massive glass panel installations.
