Flooring and Tiling Shows Jnl 5 16

The Flooring Show in Harrogate will be accompanied by a Tiling Show in September this year.

The Flooring Show in Harrogate makes its return once again this year, and this time with the addition of a sister show, the Tiling Show.

The wide variety of exhibitors at this year’s Flooring and Tiling Shows mean that visitors across all sectors are catered for. The shows are taking place simultaneously, from 18-20 September, at the Harrogate International Centre and are set to be another great success.

Exhibitors from the flooring and tiling industries will include businesses that offer hardwearing, yet aesthetically pleasing products. Visitors can take advantage of face-to-face conversations with suppliers and business representatives on what flooring or tiling would be best suited to their needs; be it durability, ease-of-maintenance, visual impact, etc.

Visitors can make the most of the Trends Hub, curated by Scarlet Opus, which brings together an imaginative area showing future trends, colour themes and new products. This is a space where both exhibitors and visitors can gain inspiration and motivation.

There will be seminars running all day throughout the three-day events, and Houzz will play a big part in the seminars. Houzz is a fast-growing website for the interiors sector, both private and commercial, and is considered a go-to platform for finding inspiration, contacting professionals and locating products.

The free demonstrations will take place in the Kings Suite of the exhibition halls, alongside the popular Trends Hub and Seminar Theatre. With a full timetable available on the website, here are just a few of the areas that will be covered:
•    Repair Mortars
•    Smoothing Compounds – core products
•    Adhesive Applications
•    Underlay Installation
•    Commercial Resilient Flooring Installation (flat surface)
•    Laminate & Floating Wood Installation

Running throughout the show on Sunday 18th and Monday 19th September, and during the morning of Tuesday 20 September, the demonstrations are always a popular feature of the Flooring Show and offer a fantastic opportunity for visitors to pick up on new techniques, products and information, along with other features of the show; including The Trends Hub, seminars, the brand new Ask the Experts and the return of the Carpet Fitter of The Year Competition. After a 15-year hiatus, the grand final will take place at The Flooring Show.

“I always said that, if I were ever NICF President, I would make it my mission to bring the competition back – after all, there isn’t a fitter in the land that wouldn’t want UK ‘Fitter of the Year’ on his van,” says NICF President, Ian James.
