A unique sealant that is durable with several unique benefits, such as transparent packaging, simplifying the process of choosing a matching colour.

It was with great excitement that Den Braven Sealants, having built a reputation in the global community as one of the leaders in sealant technology, re-launched its Woodflex product range.

Den Braven South Africa forms part of the Den Braven Group in the Netherlands and imports most of its products from Den Braven manufacturing operations in different parts of the world. The remaining products and accessories are sourced from a partnership with local suppliers, with products warehoused in Gauteng, Durban and Cape Town.

The unique Den Braven Woodflex product is a high-quality, durable, solvent-free, emulsion-based sealant, ideal for use on parquet, cork, laminate, wood and bamboo flooring, as well as skirtings.  When sealing and filling gaps, it is crucial to ensure some movement capability (up to 8%) between cracks and joints.

Woodflex is considered the ultimate choice for use around built-in cupboards and kitchen units as it is fast-drying, and can be sanded and painted once fully cured. It is available in a selection of six popular wood colours to ensure an aesthetically appealing match and finish. These colours include: Oak; Beech; Pine; Cherry; Meranti and Imbuia.

From a sustainability perspective, Woodflex is seen as being an environment-friendly product with virtually no odour and very low VOCs, and conforming to the South African Green Building Council’s standards for architectural sealants.

Another unique and identifiable feature of the Woodflex range is its packaging, which consists of transparent cartridges that simplify the process of identifying and matching various colour options. In addition, Woodflex can be easily applied using a caulking applicator, and tooling it off is just as simple.

The end result is a truly functional sealant that is strong and offers an array of options with regard to colour. In terms of innovative packaging, this practical, functional product offering enables one to view the colour before commencing with a purchase.
