Conforming to the Green Building Council of South Africa’s standards, a new, one-component, moisture-curing, low-modulus sealant and adhesive has recently received the environmental stamp of approval.

Den Braven’s Hybriflex-540 is resistant to ageing, weathering and most chemicals. It has excellent movement capability and requires minimum surface preparation. In addition, the free from isocyanates and silicones, low volatile organic compounds (VOC) content products offer good adhesion to most substrates such as concrete, natural stone, asbestos, wood, enamelled surfaces, steel and aluminium.

Hybriflex-540 can be used to seal all types of external and internal facade joints, construction joints and joints in precast elements, for external walling and cladding joints, infill panel joints, curtain walling, window and door frame sealing.

Hybriflex-540 is also suitable to use on roof tiles for sealing, overlaps on tiles roofs, gutter sealing, metal roof flashings and for sealing knock-on tiled roofs.

Den Braven Hybriflex-540 is ideal for use with polyethylene backing cord available in various diameters – as a bond breaker to create the right joint dimensions for the sealant (available from Den Braven).

Available in 300ml cartridges as well as 600ml foil packs, it is paintable and available in white, grey and black.
