Quartz Carpet walked away with a Highly Commended award for the Best Flooring Project at the 2013 Flooring Awards.

The awards ceremony, which was held at the 5-star Hyatt Regency Hotel in Rosebank/Johannesburg, celebrated 30 years of flooring excellence in South Africa and the 30th birthday of Floors in Africa magazine.

Quartz Carpet is particularly pleased with their accolade since it was the only awards category recognising the actual floor itself. Entries were invited from all flooring manufacturers, installers, architects, designers and end users.

“Seamless Flooring Systems would like to personally thank Roxanne Mancini, Liezel van der Merwe, Joanna Papastamopoulos and the late Dave Soons for all they have done for the flooring industry and for organising the Flooring Awards. It was an incredible initiative with the vision of bringing the entire flooring industry together into one room and to recognise the flooring industry as a whole,” commented Jeremy Stewart of Seamless Flooring Systems.

Stewart explained that their Quartz Carpet brand has captivated audiences for the past 12 years in South Africa. The product has been available internationally for 35 years and it continues to evolve. “With the recent launch of our fully sealed, smooth, fine-grained range in 12 trendy colours, architects and designers certainly have lots to look forward to,” added Stewart.

Quartz Carpet Africa has operations throughout South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Angola, Nigeria, Mozambique, Lesotho, Seychelles and Mauritius. Quartz Carpet is an international brand and is represented on all 5 continents. Seamless Flooring Systems is also the holding company for Riverstone seamless stone flooring and PLAYSaFE safety rubber flooring and landscaping synthetic grass.

“Seamless Flooring Systems would also like to express our heartfelt sorrow at the loss of Dave Soons who was such a gentleman and a stalwart in the South African flooring industry. He will be sorely missed by all advertisers in the Floors in Africa magazine and we send this message on behalf of all of us,” concluded Stewart.
