extruded ceramic tiles

In modern architecture, we seek materials able to meet a series of functional, aesthetic, technical and environmental requirements. Gres Aragón has ceramic tile solutions suitable for all aspects of projects, including façades, interiors and exteriors, pools, stairs, and industrial spaces, all based on the same coherent language.

With over 80 years’ experience in the sector and expert control of the extruded tile manufacturing process, Gres Aragón has forged a reputation as a key trusted ally for architects and interior designers. Its tile solutions are based on four main criteria: visual continuity, extreme durability, high-tech performance and a commitment to sustainability.

Extruded tiles offer the assurance of a compact ceramic material with a high mechanical resistance, low water absorption and high dimensional precision. These tiles are suitable for use in ventilated façades and for pools, interiors, and high-performance, high-traffic floors.

This is demonstrated by projects such as Gardea Residential Complex, Casa EA, Alcañiz Hospital, Illueca and Arnedo Health Centres, Velaire residential estate and Gran Casa Shopping Centre, in addition to numerous private recreational and sports pools.

Faveker ventilated façade systems, developed by Gres Aragón, feature extruded tile panels. They stand out for their structural resistance, low porosity, and optimal resistance to climatic conditions. These durable, low-maintenance systems improve the thermal insulation of buildings, while also ensuring energy savings.

Projects like Gardea Residential Complex use the Faveker S-60 system to guarantee both efficiency and design appeal. In the healthcare sector, a textured finish was chosen for the façades of Alcañiz Hospital and Arnedo and Illueca Health Centres, combined with a strong emphasis on sustainability since these fully re-usable façade systems, which count on both an EPD and HPD, contain up to 48% recycled content.

Exteriors and swimming pools: safety, high performance and visual continuity

Gres Aragón’s extruded tiles are designed to withstand extreme conditions, including frost and ice, chemicals, high-traffic and temperature changes. Thanks to their non-slip surface, they are ideal for terraces, accesses, poolside terraces, and wet areas.

In Casa EA, a villa by architect Sergio Sebastián, the same product from the Urban Grafite collection was used throughout: indoors, outdoors and for the pool, guaranteeing full visual and technical continuity.

Gres Aragón’s extruded tile systems for private recreational and sports pools offer a comprehensive range of solutions, including pool gratings, copings, step tiles and risers and other special tiles. Permanent antibacterial protection for places subject to intensive use, such as spas and public pools, is afforded by Bioklinker®, a treatment based on the use of silver ions.

Fully integrated ceramic stairs

One of the main advantages of extruded tiles is the fact that solid step tiles, stair skirting tiles, skirting tiles and volumetric tiles in customized shapes can be made. At Gran Casa Shopping Centre, these tile solutions were used to create stairways suitable for high traffic, able to guarantee maximum resistance and a non-slip grip.

In housing projects like Velaire, by using these special tiles, indoor and outdoor staircases can be seamlessly integrated in the whole ensemble, visually and technically.

High-performance interiors with seamless visual continuity

Extruded tiles are also a highly effective indoor solution, thanks to their chemical resistance, dimensional stability and easy-to-clean surface. In the case of Casa EA, the same stoneware tiles were used in the kitchen, bathrooms, lounge and terraces, unifying the villa’s design while also ensuring low maintenance.

In the healthcare sector, in places like Arnedo Healthcare Centre, high-performance extruded floors guarantee safety, hygiene and durability, meeting all the requirements necessary for clinical facilities.

Industrial floors: robustness and functionality

In industrial settings, such as professional kitchens, laboratories, and logistical facilities, extruded stoneware affords a high mechanical, chemical and thermal resistance, as well as withstanding heavy loads, impacts, fat and grease and intensive cleaning. The non-slip finishes are perfect for wet areas or places where oil is used.

Thanks to the compactness and durability of extruded stoneware, it is a brilliant choice for creating spaces where efficiency and safety are required, without relinquishing visual appeal.
