African Thermal Insulations (ATI) has merged with West Rand Engineering in order to keep in pace with the rapid growth in the insulation market, primarily in Gauteng but also in other provinces around the country.
The merger was partly prompted by the renewed focus on the SANS 10400 XA standards for all insulation and energy-efficiency in commercial, industrial and domestic buildings.
The offices for the newly merged companies are situated at 95 York Street in Krugersdorp.
ATI says the merged entity will be better equipped to provide top quality service to its clients, who are seeking insulation solutions, whether these are industrial, commercial or residential.
“ATI is dedicated to maintaining and expanding its range of competencies and expertise in the Southern African markets and, with the advent of the SANS 10400 XA regulations governing insulation and energy-efficiency, this is even more pressing,” says ATI in a statement.
The new regulations cover the full spectrum of insulation requirements as laid down in the standard. ATI says with the merger, the company will be in a better position to advise and guide its clients, whether architects, specifiers, engineers or consultants.
The merger happened in December 2012 and is effective although the companies will only move into the new premises in January. The offices in Cape Town will remain at their current premises.
“Our commitment to excellence, combined with our mission to deliver outstanding client service, has earned our company the reputation it enjoys today. We will stand by that commitment and, where possible, work even harder to improve the customer’s experience,” says ATI.
