Lüdenscheid-based flooring profile system company, Küberit, announced that it has embarked on a complete restructuring process. By relooking at everything from internal processes and interfaces and implementing a new merchandise management system (ERP system), the company has already been able to optimise its delivery times and has created new capacities within the business to explore future growth opportunities.
Process manager at Küberit, Patrick Schulz, says reviewing internal processes was needed because of changes in the flooring market, tight labour market conditions and continued growth in the economy. He said a large part of the restructuring process consisted of identifying inadequate or potentially misused capacities, simplifying procedures and -– where appropriate – restructuring tasks.
“This complex overall situation requires solid complexity management. We want to reduce the workload of our staff, create more transparency and improve the quality of service,” explains Patrick.
The skills shortage was another reason to relook processes. Udo Ulbrich, Managing Director at Küberit, comments: “We want to grow and take advantage of opportunities, and we have laid the foundations for this in terms of both products and services.”
Patrick says that the combination of the company’s new processes and new products, such as the flexible, two-part profiles PPS-Champion 4.0, PPS-Champion Star, and the silicone-free expansion joint profile Motion Star, as well as the new stair nosing profiles, will position them for continued growth.
“Thanks to our solutions, a builder can complete most mounting situations with our profiles simply and efficiently,” concludes Patrick.
