Architects now have access to an unmatched, pre-anodised product called HRC73A™, which has been created for both exterior and interior facades, comprising an alloy with 90% recycled content.
Novelis Inc., the world’s largest recycler of aluminium and a leader in aluminium rolling and recycling, launched its innovative new HRC73A™ earlier this year.
The company stated that HRC73A™ provides a permanent, brilliant metallic gloss as well as superior bending and non-combustible properties not found in other alloys.
Available as a coil-anodised product for further processing, it allows architects to create more compelling, sophisticated designs with a decreased carbon footprint.
Thore Kroeger, sales manager at Novelis Europe Specialties, notes: “Our new, high-recycled content product helps customers and building authorities to achieve their sustainability goals. This exciting accomplishment demonstrates our continued focus on increasing the amount of recycled content in our aluminium products. It also affirms our commitment to product innovation, to help achieve our purpose of shaping a sustainable world together.”
In the past several years, Novelis has heavily invested in technologically advanced recycling facilities that have increased the amount of recycled content in its aluminium products. As a result, the average recycled content in the company’s products is nearly 60%. Novelis is also partnering with its stakeholders along the value chain to reduce the usage of primary aluminium, which decreases carbon emissions and other environmental impacts.
