Kim Diesel is a Sales Consultant (Inland Region) for FloorworX. She has been in the industry for 13 years and her current role involves servicing and growing the company’s customer base in her area, building and maintaining good customer relationships and marketing FloorworX as a full flooring solution provider.
“I believe my strength is being able to communicate easily with all personalities within a company. I have completed a few sales courses, but nothing beats experience in the market,” says Kim.
She learned early on that sales people and employees who deal with customers need to make sure they are truly listening to their clients.
“As a person tasked with creating a good experience with the brand you are representing, you need to focus on assisting customers, and the only way you can do this is by listening to them. Help guide them and then follow through with what their needs are,” says Kim.
While the flooring industry continues to change dramatically, Kim doesn’t believe that the essence of customer service and the expectations of customers has changed much over the years.
“It is the time frame in which the customer expects their needs to be met that has changed. With the advent of digital technology, companies are expected to be available all the time and act immediately. Customers still want face to face interaction with sales people, but also want instant answers and service. With a commitment to customer excellence, digital technology can help a brand and its sales people meet their customer needs on many levels,” concludes Kim.
