The central theme of Domotex 2023 focuses on the current issues of the day: the scarcity of resources, sustainability and health, new market opportunities in an ever-changing environment, and a new awareness of values.
Value based theme
The world’s leading trade show for carpets and floor coverings show will take place in Hannover from 12-15 January 2023. Value-based themes and issues surrounding responsibility towards our environment and nature will be on the agenda of Domotex: Floored by Nature. In collaboration with exhibitors and partners of Domotex, the central theme provides forward-looking perspectives on the world of carpets and floor coverings.
Onsite trade show and digital participation
“The event will be an onsite trade show running parallel to digital participation. Floored by Nature stands for sustainable and natural materials that are taking over our living spaces. It means discovering new environmentally compatible possibilities and making optimum use of existing resources. The goal: to create healthy, sustainable and at the same time inspiring spaces,” says Sonia Wedell-Castellano, Global Director DOMOTEX, Deutsche Messe AG.
Main topics
Three key topics form the basis of the central theme:
- Connecting Markets: Markets are in a constant state of transformation: changing import and export relationships, supply relationships, supply bottlenecks, increased energy and production costs, digital services and new online trading platforms are changing the economy.
- Conscious Living: It is the desire for healthy living and working, the commitment to environmentally friendly materials and manufacturing processes with the aim of creating balanced while at the same time trend-conscious living and well-being spaces.
- Colourful Nature: The third theme focus on Colourful Nature. With this Domotex is presenting nature as a new focal point, as a source of inspiration for trendy designs, colour plays and patterns to create feel-good spaces.
