The design industry in South Africa is celebrated with awards of excellence to showcase its significant role in the built industry.

In celebration of excellence in design, the first 100% Design South Africa awards were recently announced in the C.O Designs Launchpad Theatre at Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg and were presented by Liz Morris, Editor of Condé Nast House & Garden and Julian Gelb, ex-Chairman of Home Fabrics.

100% Design South Africa forms part of the Decorex SA portfolio and is considered a 110% value-adding company with a Level 3 B-BBEE rating. This inaugural showing of 100% Design South Africa attracted some 50 000 exhibitors and visitors, who were exposed to a dynamic mix of established interior companies, edgy young product designers and interactive demonstrations.
