Creating Think Tanks and small offices

Creating think tanks

AluGro designed, manufactured and installed frameless glass offices and think tanks for Regus.

Modern business people jet around the world to do business in different cities and foreign countries, but they still need an office environment. Think tanks provide just the solution. Companies or individuals can rent a cubicle or small office by the hour or day and at the same time get access to the necessary office infrastructure such as meeting rooms and printers.

AluGro designed, manufactured and installed frameless glass cubicles as well as bigger frameless offices for Regus in Menlyn, Sandton and Southdowns, and is in the process to roll out more.

Casper Steenkamp, managing director of Office Objects, who managed these projects for Regus, explains that the client needed spaces where one or two people can share an office that they could lock up. More importantly, they required a specific look on the glass walls and a particular sliding mechanism, a custom solution that was never done before.
“AluGro is known in the industry to be very reliable and has consistently provided me with good service on previous projects. This time it was no different and AluGro came up with a workable solution that is still functioning well,” he comments.

“As with any project, there are always challenges, and specifically when working with glass construction must be 100% square, which can be an issue, but what is wonderful is that AluGro never walks away from a challenge – if there are problems, we work together to fix them.”
