A modern ceiling design can create a highlight in any interior space and give it a character of its own.
“Have your clients ever asked you to turn their homes into ones that can be featured in magazines? Modern foyer ceiling design combined with LED light troughs can turn an entryway into a runway, a kitchen into a gourmet chef’s station and a living room into a home theatre,” says Capco’s Barry Gould.
No longer is the installation of a ceiling purely to conceal the services and provide a platform for the insulation, but with Capco’s Sigma LED-integrated ceiling profiles it is an opportunity to enhance and even embellish the home or office environment.
“With endless design possibilities, the Capco Sigma range of solutions is limitless,” Gould enthuses.
“For example, Capco’s LED light troughs allow designers to specify and install various lighting designs within a slim, continuous, single profile. Ceilings never looked so modern and clean.”
One of the design features is an angled LED shelf so that LED strips are in a constant position shedding light evenly throughout. Another feature is the diffusers which spread uniform light and exclude dust and insects.
The specific design and installation need was that the light trough be integrated into the ceiling grid work and to finish flush with the ceiling surface. It is almost impossible to retrofit continuous light troughs into a ceiling by cutting a slot because the suspension is seriously compromised hence integration at installation stage is critical.
Integrated into flush-plastered ceilings
These brilliantly designed aluminium profiles of architectural luminaires are just as comfortable illuminating a contemporary office corridor as it is highlighting a bathroom mirror in a private residence.
The LED light troughs have a versatile range of uses, from creating eye-catching beams of integrated light to providing subtle, medium- or low-level featured lighting. Capco’s indirect, recessed and radiused LED light troughs give projects a highly desirable, seamless finish that is popular with lighting designers, interior designers and architects.
“Capco’s latest luminaires give architects and designers the ability to create either a modern minimalist effect or make a real design statement,” Gould concludes.
