Boasting a contemporary look with durability and low upkeep requirements, CKM Metal Tray ceiling tiles are ideally fitted in office blocks, shopping centres, airports, railway stations, exhibition halls and other public buildings.
Part of Capco’s range of ceiling tiles, the CKM Metal tray ceiling tiles are unaffected by humidity and will never sag, which means that they can easily be installed above indoor swimming pools and in buildings situated in coastal areas.
Composition and specs
CKM Metal Tray ceiling tiles are manufactured from 0,5mm thick galvanised mild steel, perforated with 2,0mm diameter holes resulting in an open area of 17,5% of the surface. It is stove-enamelled with a polyester epoxy powder finish for surface protection and dust resistance. The tiles are also available in 0,4mm to 0,6mm steel and 0,5mm to 0,8mm aluminium.
Although referred to as 600mm x 600mm, the actual size of tiles is 595mm x 595mm x 12mm deep, with revealed edges and 5mm bevelling all around. The lower surface area is 575mm x 575mm.
Exposed tee system
Laid in conjunction with the CKM T38/24W exposed tee grid system, the CKM Metal Tray ceiling tiles create a clean, neat appearance for modern interior designs that require little maintenance. The standard colour tile is off-white RAL 9003 with a semi-matt finish, which matches the CKM exposed tee system however, other CKM colours are available on request.
The tiles are easily lifted from the tee grid to facilitate access to the plenum to maintain services.
The CKM Metal Tray tiles are fitted with a 0,2mm “Soundtex” black, non-woven, acoustic fleece bonded to the concealed surface, which is unaffected by wet cleaning. The outcome is a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) of 0,75. The best results are achieved with the standard perforation.
