The importance of a sound subfloor cannot be overestimated. A floor can be named or shamed by the surface it is installed upon. Without a hard, smooth and level subfloor, the chance of floor failure in a project constitutes a big risk.
FloorworX prides itself in providing a one-stop solution for your flooring needs and now offers the peace of mind which comes from knowing you have the basis for your project covered to perfection. It was therefore a natural progression to line up with UZIN, which is a name internationally known for professional installation know-how for more than 60 years.
In collaboration with Contract Flooring Distributors in Gauteng, FloorworX will coordinate the logistics involved in making the Uzin self-levelling screed, as well as a variety of new adhesives, available through select distributors countrywide.
Uzin provides top-class solutions in the field of reaction resin screeds and levelling compounds, primers, substrate smoothing and levelling, substrate repairs and special screeds.
Initially, the products FloorworX will be promoting are UZIN NC 145, UZIN NC 150 and UZIN NC 170 self-levelling screeds, as well as the UZIN PE360 Universal Primer.
UZIN NC 145 is a self-levelling cement smoothing compound for levelling and smoothing interior surfaces for normal-wear use in domestic and commercial locations. NC 145 offers economical surface preparation prior to floorcovering installation and produces level, fully prepared surfaces with good absorbency for textile and PVC floor coverings.
The product offers rapid setting and readiness for covering, and high strength. NC 145 has excellent flow properties, first-rate strength performance, a low chromate level and can be utilised up to a maximum thickness of 4mm.
UZIN NC 150 is a very-low-emission, self-levelling cement compound for levelling and smoothing work on interior surfaces. NC 150 produces level, prepared surfaces with good absorbency for textile and resilient floorcoverings which includes PVC flooring as well as linoleum and rubber floorcoverings.
It is suitable for use on various substrates and offers an economic and efficient solution for standard levelling work. NC150 has very good flow properties and can be pumped for large-scale applications. This product is very easy to rub down, has good strength properties and a low chromate level. NC 150 can be utilised up to a maximum thickness of 10 mm.
UZIN NC 170 LevelStar is the premium substrate refurbishment solution with the latest levelling compound technology. NC 170 LevelStar can be used for filling, smoothing and levelling. This product combines high-performance plasticiser technology for a sound surface prior to laying virtually any textile, resilient or wood flooring type. It is a smooth cement-based levelling compound with Level Plus Effect for every layer thickness range.
NC 170 LevelStar has excellent application characteristics with no thickness limitations; it is highly plasticised which provides easy adhesive application, resulting in up to 10% less adhesive consumption. NC 170 LevelStar is also shear-resistant under wood flooring and has low chromate content. It is suitable for high stressing loads in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
UZIN NC 170 LevelStar has also been awarded the EMICODE EC 1 R rating for very low emissions which makes it the responsible choice in the quest for “greening” occupational interiors. NC 170 LevelStar is classified RAL UZ 113/environmentally friendly due to the very low emissions.
UZIN PE360 is a dispersion primer for absorbent new substrates as well as for old adhesive and levelling compound residues. This ready to use, rapidly drying primer is developed as a pre-treatment for absorbent, mineral substrates – to be used prior to the application of a self-levelling compound.
PE360 is suitable for use on old, well-bonded, waterproof residues of adhesives and levelling compounds. This product is fit for heavy wear applications in residential, commercial and industrial locations, for interior and exterior use.
PE360 acts as a bonding agent to reduce absorbency and to bind dust on predominantly absorbent substrates. PE360 can also be used prior to direct adhesion with UZIN dispersion adhesives.
