Chemistry construction materials company announces new acquisition

The Chryso Group, which is represented locally by the Chryso Southern Africa Group, has acquired Chemtec Admixtures Limited to provide an expanded offering to the growing Irish construction market. Chemtec Admixtures was founded in Dublin in 2004 and has been the exclusive distributor of Chryso in Ireland for over 13 years. The company provides admixtures for concrete, demoulding oils and waterproofing agents mainly to precast manufacturers.

This acquisition follows a recent announcement by Chryso that it had acquired certain relevant assets of Ruredil S.p.a. in Italy. Thierry Bernard, CEO of Chryso, comments: “We are extremely pleased to extend our geographical footprint in Europe, with an acute focus on our client proximity. Our presence in Ireland will provide our customers with access to the full range of services, high quality standards and technological capabilities of the Group.”
