At Cevisama 2023, the Spanish Ceramic Tile Manufacturers Association presented its 2022 market data on turnover, production, exports and the top global markets for Spanish tiles.

Caption: Exporting to 187 countries, the Spanish tile market is largely driven by the European cluster, followed by Asia and North America. It is interesting to note that the Maghreb (Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia, Western Sahara and the Spanish cities Ceuta and Melilla) showed a decrease of -6,3%, whilst the rest of Africa grew by 4,1%. The biggest drop in exports was from South America, dropping -11,5% in 2022.

Caption: When looking at the export market by specific country, the United States and France clearly show the highest demand for Spanish tiles. However, their biggest gains were made in Italy (+41%), Belgium (+34%) and Portugal (+33,6%) for the year. This contributed without doubt to the region’s growth of 27,6% (see figure 2).
