 This article investigates two case studies that exemplify Capco’s commitment to meeting the design criteria for architects, designers and customers. 

 Project: Bridge City Shopping Centre

 The rebuild of this mall offered exciting opportunities to upgrade and modernise the mall, introducing all the latest design trends. 

 Establishing circular designs as the feature and focal areas meant designing bulkheads that made a statement, whilst complying with the design criteria. 

 In conjunction with incorporating lighting into the ceilings, the introduction of bespoke systems for adding security into the design of both ceilings and drywalls allowed the professional team to provide the necessary security without compromising on the aesthetics. Capco was privileged to specify and supply the ceiling and drywalls on this flagship property. 

The incorporation of circular designs as a focus required bespoke bulkheads and systems to accommodate the design criteria. 

Project: Oceans Retail (Oceans Mall) 

Architect: Elphick Proome Architects (EPA) 

 Following on from the Radisson Hotel and Apartments, the criteria for this mall was luxury, innovation and the incorporation of international trends. 

 Capco specified and supplied all the materials for the ceilings and drywalls for this prestigious project. The ceilings and drywalls for the mall included curves, concealed lighting, state-of-the-art finishes and security. Meeting all these criteria without compromising on the aesthetics meant bespoke designs and exciting new installation opportunities. 

 The aluminium Capco Sigma Baffles were coated to a wood-grain finish and installed in various locations within the mall. The weight of these baffles and the versatility of the installation allowed the designers the freedom to specify without being concerned about the load and carrying capacity. 

Innovative products and bespoke ceiling designs created a luxurious yet functional solution for the project.
