The aesthetic possibilities of concrete walls are plenty thanks to modern advancements in decorative concrete, ranging from stamped and sanded-effect concrete, to exposed aggregate and luminescent concrete – to name just a few.
On fresh concrete, CHRYSO® Vertic’Art technology allows effects such as reliefs, textures and colours for both interior and exterior walls, while CHRYSO® GraniStab® makes a concrete slab look like a continuous granite surface and CHRYSO® ColorStab® gives a stabilised sanded effect.
Luminescent concrete, CHRYSO® Lumin P and P+, contain particles that glow brightly in the dark, which can help with wayfinding at night or just make for an interesting feature. Other alternatives include shaped, pervious and coloured concrete solutions.
Also on old concrete surfaces, decorative concrete can rejuvenate the look and durability of worn or damaged concrete. A popular choice is the high-quality mineral effect provided by the millimetric Béton Ciré range, which can be applied on any surface in a wide range of colours.
Through the Microscreed process, using CHRYSO® RenoPrint, a thinner alternative to stamped concrete measures only 6-10mm thick, while an even thinner coating of just 2mm is available with CHRYSO® Texture Top®.
Other options for concrete renovations include a quick-drying resin finish for outdoor surfaces (CHRYSO® ResiCoat), patinas for restoring colour (CHRYSO® ColorTop Patinas) and ink dyes for dense and polished concretes.
