Johnson Tiles has appointed Warrick Taag as their architectural specifier.
Warrick Taag has been appointed as architectural specifier at local tile manufacturer, Johnson Tiles, to help architects, designers and specifiers choose the most appropriate type of tiles and tile designs to be used for various projects.
Taag started his career at Tile Africa as a sales consultant and has also worked at Trinergy Brand Connectors and Ogilvy South Africa. He holds a B.Com. marketing degree from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, a post-graduate diploma in brand management and strategic planning from the AAA School of Advertising and a general management leadership certificate from the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
He believes that his sound business sense, his entrepreneurial spirit, as well as patience and tenacity, will assist him in overcoming the challenges that may come with his job. “I anticipate that some of the obstacles will include keeping the Johnson Tiles brand top of mind in the architect and design industry,” Taag comments.
This appointment comes at a time when Johnson Tiles has invested in its second inkjet machine in order to stay competitive and continue to introduce quality, on-trend and locally manufactured products to the South African market.
“I am honoured to work for a company like Johnson Tiles, which has a heritage of over 60 years in South Africa. The company’s future opportunities for growth will possibly be in the production of larger format tiles and rectification,” says Taag.
