Facade Architectural Systems’ latest project in the heart of Sandton features two key products: HeartFelt, an innovative, patented product that turns every ceiling into a visual and acoustic playground, and their Perforated Linear Metal Ceiling System.

Tonal grey modular design

HeartFelt, a modular felt ceiling system with incredible acoustics and a unique appearance, can be designed in multiple configurations to the client’s design specs.

It is available in five shades of grey, ranging from white to black and five shades of Earth tone colours, ranging from Crème to Umber, allowing for interesting patterns to be created by the architect or interior designer. The ceiling can play a crucial role in the overall interior design and feel.

Auditorium walls, ceilings, passages and meeting rooms.
Hunter Douglas Heartfelt Modular 50 Felt Ceiling.
Colours: Off-white 7595, Middle Grey 7597, Dark Grey 7598.
Square metres installed: 1 350m².

Hunter Douglas Architectural created HeartFelt, a modular felt ceiling system with incredible acoustics and a unique appearance. Various modular options are available as well as various panel sizes 40x55mm, 40x80mm and 40x105mm.

Five shades of grey, ranging from white to black, allow interesting patterns to add to the interior design.

HeartFelt’s linear felt ceiling panels are available in a boxed or round shaped profile, which easily clip to the specially designed carrier systems.

The units also have end caps for a neater finish.

Ceiling for easy IT access

Part of the brief from the facility manager was that the ceiling cavity had to be easily accessible. This was due to the need for technicians to access it daily. Opening and refitting the ceiling each time costs money and could lead to damages if repetitive.

Hunter Douglas’ 150C Linear White Perforated Ceiling was used in a unique application for this prestigious project. Each second tile was left out, making it an open application and creating a striped effect as seen in the images.

The system delivers outstanding acoustic performance and comfort and is aesthetically pleasing on one’s eye. It is available in a range of widths and colours to help create staggered, multi-layer designs.

Meeting rooms, coffee lounge areas: Hunter Douglas 150C Linear White Perforated Ceiling.
Colour: Perforated White.
Square metres installed: 1 500m².

The Hunter Douglas linear closed ceiling system combines three widths of panels and gives the architect a range of directional room designs. The 75c, 150c and 225c.

The panels are clipped to a carrier system specifically designed for each panel width. Multi panel options are also available in a similar system and design.
