Another masterpiece in carpet tiles

Every great symphony starts with the perfect composition and when it comes to interior design, Van Dyck Floors has created the masterpiece in carpet tiles – the latest Mozart Collection. This innovative range of darker shaded carpet tiles combines the latest in interior trends with comfort, style and affordability.

A new 100% PFX Stainshield BCF Polypropylene tufted loop pile tile range with Enduroback KR4 (modified recycled bitumen) backing has been introduced by Van Dyck Floors. Known as the Mozart Collection, it is available in six exciting designs, each with three colours to choose from.

All six design ranges are suitable for various medium commercial environments and offer a variety of colours in different shades that provide an upmarket, trendy look. The Mozart Collection can be laid in various directions (monolithic, tessellated, ashlar or brick-bond), which creates different patterned effects.

Carpet tiles are becoming increasingly popular in the industry because they offer versatility and practicality, ease of installation, and eliminate the need to remove an entire floor when only a small section needs to be replaced. Replacing carpet tiles is also dust-free and quite, which is an added bonus in open plan offices and big floor spaces. The vast range of colours and varieties available also makes it possible to play around with more than just one colour and design on the floor. The Mozart Collection comes standard in 50 x 50cm, but 60 x 60cm, 100 x 100cm, 25 x 100cm tiles and other shapes and sizes can be manufactured on request.

As a member of the Green Building Council SA, the company has ensured that the new range meets the requirements for Green Star Rating. The bitumen used in these ranges consists of over 40% recycled material and as a result of their lasting durability, can be re-used for the secondary market at the end of their eventual lifespan. The bitumen backing contains no PVC’s and has a very low VOC.

Van Dyck Floors pays a great deal of attention to the impact its processes and products have on the environment. The Mozart Collection is manufactured at the company’s ISO 9001 and 14001 accredited factory in Durban, and this factory is also Carbon Trust certified as it managed to reduce its carbon footprint by more than 40% over the last 4 years.
